We have been strongly advised by both the Chelmsford Diocese and Essex County Council Directors of Public Health that our churches, if possible, should be closed for public worship, except for funerals, due to the new variant of Covid-19 that is spreading faster than others. At the time of writing cases are still rising sharply in Greater Essex and hospitals across our region are near capacity. I along with the churchwarden have taken the decision that we will therefore be following this advice in the benefice of Great Oakley, Wix, Wrabness, Tendring & Beaumont-cum-Moze and our churches will be closed for worship until further notice.
I am writing this in January and by February things may well be different again. We will open our churches once again as soon as it is safe to do so and I will update our website with any changes.
In the meantime we will be holding a Sunday Service via Zoom each Sunday morning at 9.30am. If you would like to join us we would be delighted to see you, simply email Revd Liz for login details firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone me on 01255 886757.
If I or our churches can be of any help at any time, please do not hesitate to get in contact
Please do take care and keep safe
With my best wishes
Revd Liz Barnes
